Coach on Tap
August 3, 2025On August 2nd, 2025, an intimate group of 20 coaches gathered in Ho Chi Minh City for a one-of-a-kind workshop designed not just to sharpen their skills—but to awaken their presence, purpose, and personal power.
The full-day, in-person experience, titled “Claiming Your Voice, Living Your Mission”, was facilitated by two international master coaches with over 50 years of combined experience: Lynnea Brinkerhoff and Dr. Gary Wohlman, PhD.
Together, they held space for deep personal discovery, embodied leadership, and authentic expression—delivering not just techniques, but transformation.
In the fast-growing coaching landscape of Vietnam and the wider Southeast Asia region, there’s a rising demand for coaches to show up with not only knowledge and tools, but also presence, clarity, and resonance.
Yet, many coaches—new or seasoned—still struggle to claim their authentic voice and articulate a clear, embodied mission. This workshop was created to fill that gap.
As one coach shared afterward:
“I came for tools. I left with clarity, courage, and a deeper connection to my calling.”
The day began with Lynnea Brinkerhoff gently guiding participants into body-based practices—deep somatic listening, breathwork, and mindful presence. The goal? To tune in to the body’s intelligence and align inner awareness with outer intention.
Participants explored:
The power of grounded leadership presence
Breath as a tool for focus and trust
The body as a compass for authentic communication
From this still, centered place, Dr. Gary Wohlman stepped in to lead participants on a journey toward defining their Empowering Mission Statement—a powerful, personal declaration of who they are, why they coach, and what transformation they’re here to lead.
This wasn’t a branding exercise—it was an emotional, embodied process that included:
Guided visualization
Voice activation
Movement, rhythm, and storytelling
“For the first time, I felt my mission—not just wrote it. And I’ll never forget that feeling,” shared one participant.
In the afternoon, Gary introduced his HERO Model—Highlight, Embody, Rehearse, Own—designed to elevate personal presence and storytelling power.
Participants learned how to:
Use the 3 V’s of Communication—Visual, Vocal, and Verbal—to deliver with authenticity
Move from fear to flow when speaking to clients or crowds
Express their truth with conviction, without performance
Lynnea returned to anchor the afternoon with integrative exercises on:
Setting clear, confident boundaries
Resonant leadership through emotional intelligence
Speaking from the core, not just the mind
The energy was electric. By the end of the day, each coach had claimed their voice—not just as a tool, but as an instrument of transformation.
Throughout the day, the space buzzed with connection, laughter, and vulnerability. Coaches didn’t just learn from the facilitators—they learned from each other. That’s the beauty of a well-held group: it becomes a mirror, a chorus, a lab for growth.
Many left with:
A refined mission statement
New body-based tools for coaching and communication
A deeper understanding of their inner voice
And a peer network committed to growth
Lynnea Brinkerhoff brings over 28 years of experience in behavioral science and strategy. With more than 21,500 coaching hours at Fortune 100 companies, she integrates systems thinking with somatic wisdom, and her deep connection to Indian and global cultures enriches her approach to transformation.
Dr. Gary Wohlman, PhD, affectionately known as The Presentation Doctor, has supported thousands of leaders to embody their message and presence. His unique blend of voice work, theatre, and therapeutic coaching brings an unforgettable mix of energy, insight, and play to every room he enters.
The “Claiming Your Voice, Living Your Mission” workshop wasn’t just another professional development event—it was a turning point.
A day where coaches reconnected with why they coach, and learned how to do so with more clarity, compassion, and power.
And it’s just the beginning.
To all who attended: Thank you for showing up fully.
To those who missed it: Stay tuned—this movement is growing.
